Cities drown each of us within a schedule that makes time have a different meaning, that we had stars as a canopy over our heads and a silence that spoke to us was so nurturing to each of us in special ways. India has changed so rapidly over the last twenty years and many of us carry memories-nostalgia and loss of an India that had a landscape and architecture that was uniquely beautiful. Your beautiful Home now converted to share with travelers like us bridges the old India with the new – which is a gift to us all. Thank You for your perception and loving gestures, for moving us to the tranquil rooms that gave us the quiet we were looking for. Our stay will be like favourite photos inside the “PHOTO ALBUM” of memories we keep.

It has been very special to see the New Year in such a lovely & hospitable place, in such unspoilt & natural surroundings. The grace of the ancestral home permeates the unostentatious living spaces. Thank You very much for this generosity

We have had the most enjoyable stay in sylvan surroundings and the comfort of Jambughoda palace. The hospitality of Maharana Vikramsinhji and the Maharani especially for their personal care of our requirements were greatly appreciated by each and everyone of us. The visit to the forest and the beautiful sanctuary were a highlight to our visit at Pavagadh and Champaner. We have found the staff courteous and have enjoyed partaking a variety of cuisines. Wish you good luck!

The good welcome, beautiful countryside and above all the peace gave everyone in our group so much and enabled us to do wonderful paintings. It is a perfect place to bring a party of artists.-Thank You for everything.

Peaceful, nutrition for the psyche The perfect antidote to the city. No television, no hassle, no shopping... just good food, song birds, dogs, geese and the trees. The food is wonderful. If you ask they can prepare the food with less oil and less salt or whatever your need is. They have maki (maize flour) ki roti and bajari (millet) ki roti. Home made pickles and many of the vegetables are home grown and organic. In the mango season you can kuchi (unripe) mango “amm panna” juice. The rooms are simple and in the heritage style of solid wood furniture and fittings. Very clean and comfortable. One fantastic feature is the lovely swimming pool. If you swim at sunset you can watch the silhouettes of the birds going to roost in the amber sunset rays.

A very comfortable stay. The gardens are a riot of flowers and greenery. Shaded pathways , green lawns, rambling fields and lazy verandah chairs. Good food, courteous service under the watchful eye of the gracious hosts. The dining area is a covered space under the trees with several long tables and very comfortable chairs. Each table had a different arrangement of garden flower; a small but happy touch. I spent a morning working there, supplied with coffee and snacks. Delicious Jain food for especially made for one of our party. Jambughoda is a relaxed, spacious and comforting getaway. Highly recommended and appreciated!

Ganesha says the word SALUBRIOUS describes wonderfully well "Nature Lovers Retreat". Salubrious means health - giving. Yes, I, Bejan Daruwalla, go there very often and I openly say that at the age of 83 I am actually able to run a little bit on the lawn. Good, wholesome food, fine ambience and surroundings, ducks, peacocks, dogs and other birds, great greenery and flowers, and above all a homely, friendly atmosphere. The owner Raja Vikram Singh is a Leo. He is pure sunshine. It is reflected everywhere. I am happy to say that a small part of the lawn will be named after me. The placard will be: Ganesha Bejan. It is the spot which inspires me and works wonders for my health and intuition. If you want a slice of heaven, go there.
